I studied Japanese at the University of Oregon forty years ago. I studied first and second year Japanese. When I lived in Nigeria, I taught English conversation to the Japanese community in that country for several years. I recently found myself studying Japanese after twenty years and was surprised that I am still interested in the language. I also was happy, perhaps reminding me of the days of my youth. There are more resources available to assist in the learning of language. I found You-tube very helpful in reconnecting me to language learners and teaching material.
